Hi Anna and welcome!

There are so many members here from Greece. I wish they would all put their locations in their profiles so you could all get to know each other.

I see that you've already been accepted to the 002 Group. That's great, because you now have access to the beginning levels of sheet music and all the MP3s and Videos! :casque:

Have fun!

Alan

to zeimpekiko tis evdokias

Where can I find a score?

I think the one I tried is a different one ,from Cyprus in fact - I know there is a big difference between mainland Greek style and Cyprus ( I hears some versions on Youtube)

You can hear some of Stelios's arrangements at http://sites.google.com/site/eastmedcompany/ and also a couple on Delcamp.us

And I found a score - for bouzouki - but ok to play on guitar. lots of fast repeated notes which are fun to play. I have a mandola, which is just a little like a bouzouki, so I will try playing on that

Thanks for the recommendation. Another Greek piece I like to play is Kokkina Xeili (Red Lips)

it's really funny that you want to play greek songs...
the only one i know is the one i told u...
the zeimpekiko...
first of all because i'm a beginner so it's difficult for me
secondly, because i'm not really fancy in greek songs!!!!!
but thats different from you!!!!!
but it's nice you like our music...
have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You probably hear them every day so maybe they are not so special. But they sound unusual and exotic to me! Often people from southern Europe very much like Irish and Scottish music because it is 'different' .But at school we had to do Scottish traditional dancing  :( Not cool at the time :D

probably...
you're right...
scottish traditional dancing?haha...COOL
i prefer listening to other kinds of music...(mostly from other countries)...
but for now greek music is a safe way to start my lessons...
i didn't ask u: how long have you been learning guitar?(or any other instrument)
